What we collect, and what we never do with it
This policy covers Jinaria Selections — the internal tool we use to publish our own marketing videos to our own TikTok accounts. It is short because the tool does very little with your data.
1. What we collect
When you authorise the tool to access a TikTok account, TikTok returns a small set of values. We store:
- The account identifier (
open_id) — this tells us which account to publish to. - Public basic profile information — display name and avatar — so the operator can confirm the right account is connected.
- An access token and a refresh token, which are the credentials used to call the TikTok API on that account’s behalf.
We do not collect analytics about your audience, your viewers, your messages or your other content.
2. How we use it
The information above is used for exactly two things:
- Uploading and publishing video content that we designate to the TikTok account we have authorised.
- Keeping the authorisation alive, by refreshing the access token when it expires.
We do not use it for advertising, audience profiling, retargeting, or any form of automated decision-making. We do not sell, rent or share it with any third party.
3. Storage and security
Tokens are held in an access-controlled server environment and are readable only by the process that publishes content. They are never embedded in a public web page and never sent to any service other than TikTok’s own API endpoints.
Access tokens are short-lived — they expire after 24 hours and are refreshed automatically. Refresh tokens are valid for 365 days. You can revoke the tool’s access at any time from your TikTok account settings, which immediately invalidates both.
4. How long we keep it
We keep tokens only for as long as the authorisation is active. When you revoke access, or when a refresh token expires, the stored credentials are deleted within a reasonable period.
Content that has already been published to TikTok is held by TikTok under its own policies, and is not affected by anything we do here.
5. Children
The tool is intended for business operations and is not offered to, or used by, minors.
6. Changes to this policy
If the tool’s data practices change, this policy will be updated before those changes take effect. The current version always lives on this page.
